March 2016

From my 2016 Mason Jar Journal:

  • 3.9.16 - Jake helped me finish installing the chalkboard mantelpieces
  • 3.16.16 - Tammy's wedding shower went very well and was really cute
  • 3.20.16 - We celebrated Easter early with the kids; Abbi woke us up early; RaNae came from dinner; I studied the people who were present during the last week of the Savior's life
  • 3.26.16 - We celebrated Easter with my family; the girls had a craft night when the boys went home
  • 3.30.16 - I went to the 9 a.m. session at the Ogden Temple; I'm so grateful I went and for the blessings of the holy temple
  • 3.31.16 - Noah played a season of basketball and started karate
Abbi is preparing for our trip in November!

Easter table set with a place for Jesus.

I gave the mantel a makeover with chalkboards.

Jake and the kids found a fishing boat.

Baymax loves running water, not standing water.

Noah tried a few months of karate.

This sign was in the bathroom of a cute boutique.

February 2016

From the 2016 Mason Jar Journal:

  • 2.10.16 - We went to the open house for the Provo City Center Temple with Anne, Mom, Dad, and kids
  • 2.11.16 - I went to a chalk art class that Cathy Burrows Wall taught and visited with Stacy Cragun Potter
  • 2.13.16 - Jake and I celebrated the 5th anniversary of our engagement and the 3rd anniversary of our sealing; the date was cut short with a sick little Noah
  • 2.21.16-3.5.16 - Jake traveled to California for work; it felt like he was gone forever; we were glad it ended and that it's the longest trip he's been assigned
  • 2.24.16 - Abbi and I went to her first Young Women's New Beginnings
  • 2.24.16 - Noah got his own dog, Hugo, a yellow lab. He's 9 months old and his birthday is 9.7.15

Hugo is Noah's dog. We adopted him from a family who said he was scared of animals bigger than him and they do lots of rodeos. Hugo has lots of good manners and is very loyal. We call him Lick Lick because he could spend all day licking Noah, and Noah lets him. When Noah is gone for the weekend, Hugo will find one of Noah's socks or underwear to carry around. He is very soft with his toys and carries Baymax around, too. The only naughty things he does is because Daisy makes him.

January 2016

From the 2016 Mason Jar Journal:

  • 1.1.16 - Cody wrote our VUDU password on his New Year letter in 2015
  • 1.10.16 - The bishop and stake president gave uplifting talks about choosing faith and honoring our parents by how we use our electronics
  • 1.10.16-1-16.16 - Jake traveled to Alabama and we were all glad when he came home
  • 1.17.16 - I was released from the Relief Society Enrichment Committee
  • 1.20.16 - I got new glasses, shopped with Mom, and had lunch with Dad
Abbi does great at her sewing lessons!

Half of my life without Aunt Maureen.

We had a fun holiday out and about together.

Baymax and Daisy fight for the heat vent.

A quote I loved while studying.

The deer love our yard and come all the way up by the back door.

Cody was sworn in as a Riverdale City Councilman.
